Well, hey there.

A few weeks ago, we launched Font Awesome 6. If you happened to visit our website that day, you might have noticed that it was pretty sluggish, along with a few other hiccups.

Here are a few things that went wrong.

• Looping API requests and high traffic caused our website to slow to a crawl.
• We had a misspelled URL in our email.
• Our cloud management software decided to stop working.

We always do our best to make sure things go smoothly for folks, but we messed up this time. Hopefully, you’ll hang in there with us and give it another shot.

• Introduced better caching and improved site monitoring.
• Replaced our cloud management software with a better tool.
• Fixed lots of small bugs with the site.

Today, Font Awesome 6 is in good shape, our site is stable, and we think you’ll agree that despite the rocky launch day, this is our best release to date!
