| Hi Coffigniezâ, on January 25th we noticed a critical vulnerability in the Essential Addons for Elementor plugin, affecting versions 5.0.4 and below. This plugin has over one million active installations.
After releasing a virtual patch to our Professional users, we reached out to the developer of the plugin. Although the vulnerability was already reported to them, a closer look at the patch they applied showed that it was insufficient. This insufficient patch was also reported to them by the original reporter of the vulnerability. The developer of the plugin released version 5.0.5 which contains the proper changes to fix this security issue. |
